Island Packet self anchoring saves the day

During Tropical Storm Fay, my husband had moored his Island Packet sailboat away from the docks to try and prevent any damage.  Prior to the storm he had checked and rechecked the boat to make sure it was securely tied to the mooring.  During the storm however, the boat (as well as several others) came loose from the mooring due to the excessive high winds.  One boat as reported in the news went to the Buckman Bridge and was sunk.  Several others tied near us also came loose and ended up in the nearby wooded areas around the marina.  Our boat came loose and headed toward the wooded area as though it was under power.  As it approached the dangerously shallow waters and the wooded bank, our anchor came loose, dropped down,  and held her tight.  "Lucia" held her anchored spot throughout the entire storm and suffered very minor damage! We call her our "self anchoring" boat.
